I was quite please to be able to attend a sweet arse of a concert last night with a certain boy I know. I have a newfound respect for our good man Pedro the Lion. Solid voice all the way thru. No showy lights or superfluous pizzaz ... just a wholly good show :) And that was all the packed room of avid Pedro fans needed to keep their eyes and ears on the stage ... I'll have to admit that I did have a little nap once or twice in the evening ... Okay, twice or thrice ... But two thirds of that napping was during the opening act - John Vandersluice. No insults to him! I was just tired - I claim mono-traumatic factors were at play here ... not boring musicians. Other highlights include: 1. a great mushroom and swiss burger :) ya ya, bri i know you blogged on that too :) 2. the onstage proposal of a pedro fan man to his lovely lady (they had met a year before at another pedro concert!) so sweet! 3. when she said yes :) 4. getting too little sleep and having a hard time waking up the next morning for work ... and still having the best day of my week :)
